It's SOUPER BOWL Time!
Yes, hopefully we'll be involved in the football Super Bowl, but we
definitely will be part of a strong Christian effort to feed the hungry
through the SOUPER BOWL OF CARING. This nationwide effort, which began
in the early 90's has generated over $20 million to help people in need.
We at SFA are teaming up with other youth groups in the Springfield
Ministerium -- Covenant Methodist, First Presbyterian, The Blue Church,
Princeton Presbyterian, Life Christian Fellowship, Springfield Baptist,
Redeemer Episcopal, St. Kevin, and St. Matthew Lutheran -- to collect canned
goods and monetary donations from January 15 through February 5.
Canned goods will be collected at all church entrances the weekends of
January 15/16, 22/23, 29/30. Food will also be collected during
January at Life Teen and Teens I.N.C. events, as well as in our parish
school and religious education program.
This community-wide effort is being run by our teens, with adult support.
A big THANK YOU to ALL who are helping, and especially to our young people
we say THANK YOU FOR CARING AND SHARING!

distractions. HIGH SCHOOL TEENS ONLY are invited to the Life
